CANDLEMASS Crush At BANG YOUR HEAD Despite Luggage Mishap

July 5, 2002

CANDLEMASS' appearance at last weekend's Bang Your Head festival in Balingen, Germany was reportedly moved from its originally-scheduled slot on Friday, June 28th to Saturday, June 29th after all of the group's luggage and instruments were "lost in the Stuttgart triangle," according to the band's official web site. "Fortunately TITAN FORCE stepped in on the C-MASS slot so our heroes could doominate on the Saturday instead. In daylight, in the sunny afternoon, Messiah and the boys totally delivered in front of a fantastic crowd going absolutely nuts. Certainly NEVERMORE couldn't believe their eyes (and ears). [NEVEMORE frontman] Warrel [Dane] and the others had been waiting for this for fifteen years and rumors say that a certain Mr. Dane were caught in Messiah's camera singing 'Samarithan' in his special way."
